Lesson Overview

This lesson focuses on SMS module setup, API integration, template creation, and broadcast configuration. Learners will understand how to manage bulk messaging campaigns effectively, ensuring messages are delivered efficiently, personalized when needed, and monitored for performance.

1. SMS Module Setup

Purpose: To configure the SMS module within the system for sending transactional or promotional messages.

Details:

· Navigation: Access the SMS module from the admin dashboard.

· Configuration:

o Enable SMS gateway connections.

o Set sender ID for outgoing messages.

o Define default settings for message delivery and retries.

· Benefits:

o Centralized control of all SMS communications.

o Ensures messages are sent reliably and efficiently.

Example Use Case:

· Admin sets up the SMS module to send automated OTPs and promotional messages to customers.

2. API & Templates

Purpose: To integrate external systems via API for automated SMS sending and create reusable templates for consistent messaging.

Details:

· API Integration:

o Configure SMS APIs for system-triggered messages (e.g., alerts, OTPs, notifications).

o Test API connectivity to ensure successful message delivery.

· SMS Templates:

o Create templates with placeholders for personalization (e.g., {CustomerName}, {OrderID}).

o Include standard messages for promotions, reminders, and notifications.

o Ensure compliance with legal requirements for bulk messaging.

3. Broadcast Configuration

1. Select target contact list or group.

2. Choose the SMS template to use.

3. Schedule date and time for message broadcast.

4. Enable delivery and response tracking.

· Benefits:

Example Use Case:
